Future Plans
We would like to start a Teen Yoga class and a Children's Yoga class. If these are of interest to you, please provide Floyd Fitness with your contact information. When we have enough students, we will schedule a series of classes and notify you of the dates, times, and cost.

Floyd Fitness is always open to new class ideas. Please contact us if you can instruct a dance, fitness, or health class that you would like to share with the Floyd community.

Children's Classes

'Talent Sprouts' Creative Dance & Tumbling (ages 3-6)
6-wk and 8-wk sessions of this class are offered throughout the year at Floyd Fitness, excluding the winter monthts. The classes are taught by Ilima Ursomarso of Rhythm Fire Dance Company. By visiting the Floyd Fitness Classes & Seminars page, you can find information on:

Karate (ages 5-13)
This ongoing martial arts program is instructed by Sensai Thomas Altizer. The class meets every Friday after school, and new students may join at anytime. Teen Training & Membership Certification
This group training session, for ages 13-17, is taught by a certified personal trainer. This class is a prerequisite for membership at Floyd Fitness for ages 13, 14, and 15. However, 16 & 17 year olds are also welcomed to this information-packed 1 hour session. The session covers:

  • Correct form and technique for use of cardio equipment, strength machines, and free weights
  • Guidelines for creating a workout routine
  • Gym safety
  • Gym etiquette
  • Tour of the facility

Cost is $10. Sessions are offered monthly; please sign-up at the front counter.
