They have been running regular call nights for about 10 years.“Being an EMT has allowed me to assist many people who are either ill or injured and has allowed me to understand the importance of having trained people in the local area. It takes time to get from the station to the scene and sometimes people don't have that precious time to wait. The more people we can train to respond and provide appropriate care before we arrive the better the patient's chances are of recovery. Sometimes a person on the scene who knows what to do can provide the life-saving care that makes the difference.”
